It requires a weekly effort of 8-10 hours, for 8 weeks, and is taught in English. Learning has undergone a lot of change, thanks to technology. This change however, has created a challenge for institutional designers who are creators of the online education experience. Participants are invited to explore emerging learning theories eg. Bloom’s taxonomy and constructivism; technologies used; and curriculum design models using performance-based assessments, which are all involved in the creation of these interactive experiences.

For the design of any educational scenario, there are usually operations that implement the orchestration of the design. This course proposes the use of a visual model called Orchestration Graph, where the vertices are learning activities, and the edges of the graph connect consecutive activities. Participants will initially start off by sketching graphs on paper and then move on to use of FROG, which is an online platform for Fabricating and Running Orchestrating Graphs.

The Computing Technology Inside Your Smartphone is a Computer Science course offered by Cornell University. It’s an introductory course taught in English for 10 weeks. The prerequisite is high school mathematics background in algebra and number systems. The smartphone is able to do so much because of the powerful computer processor it contains. Introduction to Conversational Interfaces is an IT & Computer Science offered by the UAL Creative Computing Institute, and Institute of Coding. Instructions are given in English for 2 hours weekly, for 2 weeks. This course is for anyone interested in new technology, with a focus on exploring conversational and voice-based interfaces and how audiences engage with them. Participants will need a device such as a laptop or tablet with access to the internet. Conversational interfaces refer to a system where a computer is able to reply instructions using natural language. This is very common with the advent of chatbots, and assistants such as Alexa and Siri. Explore conversational and voice-based interfaces; their development, as well as the consideration and challenges of the developers. Also gain skills that help in the effective and responsible design of these interfaces.
