The Reconciliation and Peacebuilding, M.A. is a program that is offered online by the University of Winchester. This program supports students in the goal of understanding and identifying the main causes of conflict in any given area. It also supports their ability to assess a variety of practices and methods in these places that have the potential to turn into violent conflict. From there, students will determine ways to turn this conflict into peace. Students will look at the relationships between theory and practice and think about the different factors that affect peacebuilding and conflict in real life.
The Peace Operations, Master is a program that is currently being offered by the George Mason University located in Fairfax, United States. Students will join the government, peacebuilding and military professionals in a program that focuses on studying international interventions that have the goal of restoring and maintaining peace in conflict zones or natural disaster zones. Students will study different topics such as recovery and development, post-conflict reconstruction as well as security and diplomacy. In order to apply, students must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
